I heard the Lord say that many are feeling the transition of growing pains.
This is where you have outgrown a season, and the Lord is beginning to transition you from a place of low capacity to a wide open space.
It's where He moves you out from underneath the ceilings that you've been living under and brings you into a place you you have the ability to dream and the environment that supports you to step into the deeper things of God.
You see, we've been in a season of many tests and trials. It's been a season of many opportunities to stay limited, to compromise, to be apathetic, and to choose what is comfortable over faith.
And the very fact that you're feeling lost right now is a sign that you've chosen Him above comfort.
It's a sign you've chosen Him above the temptation to compromise and choose second best.
You're here in this place right now because God is transitioning you into the very thing you've been praying about for a long time.
It always takes us a lot longer for our hearts to catch up, for our emotions to catch up, and for our souls to catch up in seasons of spiritual transition. But that's exactly why you feel so lost right now.
That's exactly why you're feeling a heaviness every single day.
You're waking up and there's a cloud of anxiety.
It's because God is moving you from a place where you were in shallow waters and it feels like you've suddenly been swept out into the deep.
You can't see beneath you and you can't see around you.
It's a place you are going to have to trust that He is leading you and sustaining you.
It's a place where it's only by his might and his ability that you're able to even navigate the future.
You aren't lost, but it is a time that you won't be able to have your ducks in a row.
It is a time where you won't be able to knock down your own doors or to make things happen in your own abilities anymore.
You've chosen the deeper waters of the spirit, and the Lord is moving you in the current of the new thing He is doing.
Yes. You chose Him when many have not chosen Him.
Now we know what it means to outgrow something in the natural. Where suddenly your feet are too big for the shoes you're wearing or the jacket you used to put on.
But, spiritually speaking, I needed to ask the Lord, “What does it mean to outgrow our past season?” And the Lord said something very interesting.
He said to me, “This is about spiritual stature and maturity in the spirit, and they have outgrown the people they've been running with”
And, I said, Lord, why? And, he said, “Many have outgrown their people because their people have chosen to stay still when they've chosen to continue moving forward with me”
This is why you suddenly feel out of nowhere a distance in the spirit or a disconnect, a lack of synergy with the people you used to run with.
That is because you've outgrown the room that you used to be a part of.
It was God's intention that you all grew together, but that just is not always the case.
That's why there's been a breaking of alignments in this season.
That's why there had to be a disconnection or a separation from some of the people you walked with in the past season because they have not chosen to move with the spirit.
They've chosen to move in their own agenda, their own goals that are apart from the Lord, yet you've chosen him.
And I know it's a difficult moment right now in transition because you can feel their chatter.
You can feel their judgments and their words.
It's a moment where you look like the foolish one for not having the same appetites, not being able to be satisfied by the food that they're eating.
They've settled when you've chosen Him at all costs.
It doesn't make sense. You feel agitated.
You feel almost like it's an unfair moment.
There's a grief you're feeling in the spirit as you're moving away from these people, but God cannot finalize the plans that He has for you if you stay in those rooms of apathy and compromise.
Rooms that have kept God limited or muted. And this leads me to my next to the next thing the Lord said.
He said, “Many have outgrown places because the people they ran with have allowed the enemy to have access”
“They've allowed him to move into places of their lives through temptations and compromise that you have not”
“That is why it's not just a subtle separation, but quite an obvious one. It's because I'm plucking you out of those rooms. I'm plucking you out of those places that have tolerated demonic assignments, that have tolerated apathy, that are entertaining another Jesus, another gospel!”
“And you've pioneered this far. You've stayed pure this far with many opportunities to take the off ramp. But you've chosen me every single time. That's why in moments where those rooms are suddenly filled with compromise, I have had to pluck you out of those places.
And thirdly, the Lord says, “Many have outgrown the regions that I've assigned them to. Many have outgrown the movements that I had them a part of and the regions that I had them a part of”
“And, that is why, in the months to come, we're entering into the migration part of the year”
“It’s a moment where I'm transitioning people. I'm putting new cities and new places on their hearts to begin to migrate to.”
There is movement suddenly under your feet and that is why you've been feeling that discomfort, the deep discontent, and that grief because you're feeling that transition again.
And many are saying, “God but haven't I already been through enough transition?”
But the lord says to you, “You have been in the transition of heart circumcision, but this next transition will be to INCREASE you!”
And, I hear the Lord saying over the body of Christ right now that just as Abraham had to sojourn he had to leave all that he knew, his family, his friends, his community, his city to activate the calling of God upon his life and the bigger vision that God had for him - so many right now are in a place where God is leading them into a sojourning transition to plant you, establish you, and cause what has been on your life to come forth and bloom.
It's a transition that is moving you out of a limitation and into a wide open space.
I feel the Lord even saying over you that just as you've been praying for the right community, the resources for the unlocking of the movement that he's placed inside of you, it will not happen in the place that you're in, in the room that you've been in.
Those seeds will not flourish. In fact, they would die if you stay in that place.
That is why right now the Lord is leading you out and you know that He's leading you. You can feel the spirit and the wind and His change upon you leading you out, but it's still been making you feel lost, discouraged, and heavy.
I want to say to you today; the only reason you feel that way is twofold;
1. There's the emotional battle or struggle of transition that we all face as our souls and our minds catch up with what God's doing in the spirit.
2. There’s also the assignment of the enemy to discourage us from moving into the new thing.
Pioneers, it is time to move into the new thing. It is time to step into that stream, that river of faith that leads you to occupy and inherit all that God has called you to occupy and inherit.
Just as Abraham became the father of many nations, his name was changed and he birthed a son - your sojourning, and your surrender in this hour is going to cause you to inherit the multiplication and birth that which God has given you to birth.
