Last week I was driving when the Holy Spirit came upon me and I began to sing a spontaneous prophetic song;
You are going from glory to glory
Not worry to worry
Don’t look your history
Cos God is changing your story!
The shift and change of this season is causing many to look AROUND them onto the many situations that have arisen in the transition and also BEHIND them onto past seasons of failure and dissappointment, but we need to know that we aren’t going backwards even if the report says so, you are moving ahead!
“We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” 1 Corinthians 3:18
DON’T GET HEART-SICK
In Numbers 11 the Israelites began to complain in their transition because their food was the same every day that God provided for them, and often as we are crossing from one place to another we can easily take our eyes off where we are going and into the desert sun and dry sand on our every side!
Last night I was in worship when I saw a vision of people who were sick in their stomachs. I could see them bending over in pain and agony as they were trying to walk around normally they couldn’t and it was clear - something was severely wrong. I asked the Lord what I was seeing and He said “Their stomachs have turned!”.
The phrase “that turned my stomach” normally is used when we taste or smell something unpleasant that affects it and it feels like it turns and we feel nauseous. In a season of significant transition God is actually inviting us to “taste and see that he is good” however right now there have been some “words, accusations, judgements, rejection, and fear” that have caused many to feel sick to their stomachs instead of experiencing the thrill of the increase upon them.
When you eat the wrong foods your stomach lets you know by stimulating pains and in the same way your stomach, your spirit, is sending signals in this season that when you feast on all the wrong things you are not going to feel well. What is the answer? You need to feast on His goodness especially right now. His promises over your life. What He has said over you and your future. You can’t entertain the lies and the negative report, the irrational fear and foreboding, the words of those who have misunderstood you. You just can’t if you want to experience what is waiting for you in this season of promise.
Let me ask you, what are you feasting on right now? What is consuming your mind? Are you being baited by thoughts of rejection or what people are saying about you? Are you engulfed in a war with fear and feel like you are losing? As I saw this vision the Holy Spirit dropped the answer into my lap and I was led to this scripture;
“Let my passion for life be restored, tasting joy in every breakthrough you bring to me. Hold me close to you with a willing spirit that obeys whatever you say” Psalm 51:12 TPT
Let your prayer this week simply be “GOD RESTORE MY JOY!” and as you begin to taste it once again you will feel your spirit begin to feel sweet again and every bitter taste in your mouth will disappear. I prophesy over your week that you will feel your heart shift, and every bit of poison and lies of the enemy will be removed and you will feel fresh hope and joy fill your heart again in Jesus name!
THE POSTURE OF INCREASE
The thing about about the Glory is that if you aren’t used to its increase there is a tendancy to get anxious and begin to nervously fill space and time. The temptation in the increase of Gods glory upon your life is to BUSY yourself. Let me rephrase this.. the temptation in the transition, in the upgrade, in the seasons of significant change is to be consumed with activity, but the primary posture in transition is actually of rest. God is saying to you to lay down in His glory, so you can go from one measure of His glory to another! Don’t fight the organic rhythm of his grace by trying to “manage” your level of discomfort while the blocks under your feet change, simply invite the help of the Comforter!
It was 2:35am only a few nights ago when I woke up and couldn’t seem to get back to sleep. I looked at the time and it seemed to burn into my heart and led me to 1 Samuel 2:35;
“I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his priestly house, and they will minister before my anointed one always”
As I read this scripture the presence of the Holy Spirit come upon me and I began to weep as If I was feeling the Lords heart on something that was grieving Him greatly. “Who will lay down in my glory” the Lord said to me. “Who will wait in my presence?”
This gripped me so deeply. In 2006 the most significant part of my story began on the floor of my living room. I was in a state of desperation to know Him and those moments stretching into the early hours of the morning on my face are what have carved this path. In the days of Eli the fire had gone out in the temple and God was raising up someone who didn’t just seek him as a service but sought Him for His glory. Samuel was brought up in the temple and one night heard a voice call Him, so rushing into Eli who he thought called Him He was instructed “Go lay down again” As I sat in a mess the Lord began speaking to me about transition and the Greater Glory that was being poured out in this new season, but He was saying loud and clear “Who will lay down in my Glory?”
As we embark into this new era I believe the posture is “Go lay down again”. We can’t move on from that place, but God is reminding his people right now that there is a place of REST in the mess of the increase. As we lay in the glory we will not miss a thing and we will go from one measure of blessing to another, one level of favor to another, and come into the greater glory God is pouring out upon the earth.
So what are the keys for you this week?
