I had a vision this morning of a regal blue door. Inside of the lock there was a key already sitting and waiting to be turned. I was standing in a hallway of sorts, and knew that this represented the hallway of transition. There were many doors in this hallway, but this particular door was the only one with the key in it’s lock, ready and awaiting to be opened. I stood in front of the door and as I went to put my hand on the key and turn it, a sense of fear and hesitancy gripped me and I pulled back. Right at that moment, Jesus appeared right next to the door. He simply smiled and nodded, as if to say, “it’s ok, open it.” I knew that there was great blessing and provision on the other side of this door, but I also knew that opening it meant I had to leave behind some things that had been a comfort to me in this season past. This door required a big step of blind faith, but the look on Jesus’ face was calm, pleasant, filled with joy and reassuring.
So, with a deep breath, I put my arm forward and turned the lock. I won’t lie, it felt slightly painful because there was a letting go of comforts, a requirement to not look back, but as I turned the lock and opened the door, a rush of wind and light burst through the opening. Instantly, the breeze coming through the door refreshed me and as I opened it further, a beautiful garden oasis greeted me on the other side. I began walking through this mesmerizing garden and discovered fruit trees laden with ripe fruit all along the pathways. Jesus was walking alongside me, smiling from ear to ear. As I picked a piece of bursting fruit from one of the trees, He turned to me and simply said, “this is the fruit of your faith and obedience.”
This year, for many, has been a hallway of transition. For some, that hallway has felt as though it’s corridors have been long and never ending, for others, it has been shorter. However, there is a door that has been prepared for you for this very moment. You may have thought that the transition was delayed, but you are going to realize that God has been all the while busily preparing an oasis of your dreams for you. However, that door will require faith, it will require a letting go of comforts. It will require stepping over the threshold into the unknown. It may feel extremely uncomfortable as you turn the key, painful even, but I believe that the Holy Spirit gave me this vision to reassure His sons and daughters that He is with you. Jesus is standing right alongside you and He has prepared a way for you. I also believe that the hallway of doors represents many options and choices. There has been an uncertainty of not knowing what path to take and what door to open, there has been a confusion and a restlessness in many, however, the RIGHT door is about to be made known to you in a very clear and concise way. You will know it is the right door because it will require great faith and it will feel uncomfortable. Yet, just as we are about to cross over into the Hebraic year of 5780, there is an opening appearing before you, a highlighting of the right door to open and step through. The key will already be in it’s lock, waiting for you to turn it by faith.
I feel it imperative to prophesy over you today that the door is ready. This is a unique window of opportunity in time. The key is in the lock and it is ready to open, it’s time to step up to the door, take a deep breath and let go of what needs to go, lean into His reassuring smile, turn the handle and walk through. What is awaiting you on the other side is going to absolutely astound you. The fruits of your faith and obedience are going to be ripe and ready for the picking. The provision you need, the rest you need, the joy you need, the peace you need, the community you need, it’s all awaiting you on the other side of your faith unlocking the door. And the fruit in the garden will carry the seeds of destiny for this next season you are about to step into. So, what are you waiting for? Come on through.
I will give him the key to the house of David–the highest position in the royal court. When he opens doors, no one will be able to close them; when he closes doors, no one will be able to open them
